Shawn Ahmed, PhD (Professor, Department of Genetics, Department of Biology), was awarded an administrative supplement to his R01 titled “Small RNAs and telomere biology” from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to purchase a state-of-the-art Leica Thunder Imager for quantitative fluorescent microscopy work in his lab. Dr. Ahmed’s supplement will be combined with a supplement awarded to Dr. Rob Dowen (Assistant Professor, Department of Biology, Department of Cell Biology & Physiology) for the new microscope.
