Jamshaid ShahirJamshaid Shahir is a graduate student in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB) curriculum and member of the Jeremy Purvis laboratory, where he studies the dynamics of cell cycle progression under oncogenic KRAS mutations using experimental data and computational modeling.

Jamshaid also studies the mechanisms of cell fate decisions based on the change in gene expression over time (RNA velocity).  The Graduate Diversity Enrichment Program (GDEP) Award is highly competitive.  The Burroughs Wellcome Fund will provide $5,000 over two years to afford Jamshaid opportunities for greater science and research enrichment experiences.  Congratulations!
