Dr. Lisa Tarantino (Associate Professor, Department of Genetics) was awarded Bridge funding from the UNC SOM Dean’s Office for her project in the P50 grant “Center for Systems Neurogenetics of Addiction”.
In this proposal, Dr. Tarantino will utilize the genetically diverse Collaborative Cross mouse population to investigate the genetic and mechanistic etiology of behavioral responses to cocaine.
The Bridge award from the SOM Dean’s Office will be equally matched by the Department of Genetics and is an indication of confidence that this proposal will enable Dr. Tarantino to continue her excellent research program in addiction genetics.
