Dr. Yun Li has been appointed Professor in the Departments of Genetics and Biostatistics, effective February 1, 2021.
Dr. Li earned two B.S. degrees at Shanghai Jiaotong University (China) in Computer and Application and English (Finance and Business) in 2001, followed by an M.A. in Communication Studies (2002) and an M.S. in Applied Statistics (2004), both from Bowling Green State University (Ohio). Dr. Li received her PhD in Biostatistics (2009) from University of Michigan and then joined the faculty in the Departments of Genetics and Biostatistics in 2009 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Li was appointed Associate Professor with tenure in 2015 and became the Director of the Data Science Core for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC). Dr. Li’s laboratory focuses on the development, implementation, and application of statistical methods and computational tools for an integrative understanding of genetic mechanisms underlying complex human diseases and traits.
