Patient Advocacy

Jonah Pierce, the UNC ID Clinic’s HIV Patient Care Coordinator, has been a fierce patient advocate in the ID Clinic for 16 years. He is dedicated to caring for all 2,000+ patients served by the clinic, with a special passion for serving the LGBTQ community.

Jonah serves on the Board of Directors of the premier HIV nursing organization the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) and is the recipient of the Joanne Ruiz Achievement award for Excellence in HIV Nursing.
