Visiting Resident Program
The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology accepts visiting residents to fulfill elective requests or to compliment the requesting resident’s education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The Department offers visiting rotations in:
- Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Rotations for these programs are only offered in August, September, October, January, February, March, April and May with one opening per month. If you are interested in a rotation with UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology you’ll need to contact one of the divisions above to request the time and then visit the UNC Healthcare Program Coordinators page to download the Visiting Resident/Fellow Application Form.
In order to be considered the form must be received 10 weeks prior to the start of the requested rotation.
If approved you will receive a North Carolina Medical License Packet from the Office of Graduate Medical Education. Assignments are made on a first come first serve basis.
