UNC Department of Ophthalmology welcomes Jon Brisley, MD, our newest Comprehensive Ophthalmologist. Dr. Brisley provides comprehensive clinical eye care at UNC Kittner Eye Center in Chapel Hill and at UNC Eye Holly Springs. 
Dr. Brisley is a dyed-in-the-wool Tar Heel, returning to the institution he attended as an undergraduate and medical student, and where he completed his internship and Ophthalmology residency. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Brisley worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Vistar Eye Center in Roanoke, VA, as well as at the Roanoke Valley Center for Sight. During his time in Roanoke, he served as Vistar’s Managing Partner for 20 years and as Medical Director at RVCS for five years. At UNC, Dr. Brisley is on the teaching faculty and works with residents and fellows in the clinic, OR, and classroom.
