UNC Ophthalmology welcomes an invaluable new clinical faculty member to mentor residents and fellows in acquiring a broad ophthalmologic fund of knowledge, as well as to expose them to clinical and surgical management of corneal disease.

Dr. Ranjan noted: “My clinical practice is built on providing high quality, personalized care for every patient I treat. Transitioning from my training years, I’m delighted to begin my career at a top-tier academic medical center that houses cutting-edge technology and resources to guide the next generation of ophthalmologists toward mastering comprehensive ophthalmic care and advancing their fund of knowledge in corneal disease and treatment.”

Dating back to her undergraduate years, Dr. Ranjan additionally brings to UNC investigative experience in helping lead funded studies as a co-investigator.  She notes:

“At UNC, I want to get involved in inter-disciplinary research that integrates my investigative experience in advancing patient outcomes in corneal disease, as well as in quality improvements for corneal transplantation and infectious keratitis.”
