September 23rd to 29th is National Eye Health Week! As Healthy Aging Month wraps up, National Eye Health Week provides a second opportunity in September to reinforce American Association of Ophthalmology (AAO) messaging on good eye health. During National Eye Health Week, take time to review the AAO’s Tips & Prevention page to learn more on preventive, lifelong behaviors that are strongly linked to reducing odds of developing ocular disease and/or slowing onset of declining vision.

By age 40, all asymptomatic adults should have an eye specialist conduct an comprehensive eye exam. Whether it’s your first baseline screening, or that follow-up exam to address screening and diagnostic results, contact UNC Kittner Eye Center at 984-974-2020 to schedule your eye exam today!
