Program Goals

UNC’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation aims to improve the lives of patients with neuromuscular diseases through Electrodiagnostic Testing. This type of testing evaluates muscle and nerve functionality in order to determine the cause of pain and muscle weakness. In addition, our team adds diagnostic neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS) routinely to workups for a more specialized evaluation when necessary.

Our Model

Our physicians perform comprehensive electrodiagnostic evaluations of patients and provide concise diagnoses and potential plans for further treatment.
