Tumor Transplantation
The PRU provides a wide range of tumor transplantation options for in-vivo oncology studies. We also offer complete study management for tumor monitoring, dosing, imaging, and collections over time.
Syngeneic Models:
- Grafts or cell lines shared between individuals of identical genetic background, such as mice of the same inbred strain
Allogeneic Models:

Xenogeneic Models:
- Grafts or cell lines shared between individuals of different species, such as from human to mouse
We provide a variety of surgical services commonly utilized as part of these models:
- Subcutaneous (unilateral or bilateral) injections
- Mammary Fat Pad injections
- Intravenous injections
- Intraperitoneal injections
- Orthotopic Injections
Other Tumor Services:
- Intra-nasal Inoculations
- Intra-tracheal Inoculations
- Tumor Line maintenance via tumor passaging
- Tumor resection
- Tumor biopsies
- Patient Derived Xenografts (PDX) in collaboration with the Tissue Procurement Facility (TPF)
The PRU offers housing space in barrier, sterile and hot-wash housing for studies we manage. This eliminates the need of requesting and being assigned individual housing space within DCM.
