Tumorgenicity Testing

The PRU offers tumorgenicity testing of modified cell lines in immune-compromised mice. This is typically done through subcutaneous cell transplantation in nude mice; but we also provide orthotopic implantations and alternative mouse models. The PRU will comprehensively manage your in-vivo studies or provide technique assistance on an ad-hoc basis.

Tumorgenicity study management includes but is not limited to:

  • Study Setup, timing of injections and mouse transfer
  • Animal Preparation (identification, preparation of injection site)
  • Cell injection at pre-planned dates and times
  • Tumor measurements & weights at specified intervals
  • Imaging and imaging analysis as requested
  • Harvests at study endpoints or as required due to health conditions
  • IACUC and DCM compliance management

All study plans, collected data and time point information is provided in a SharePoint folder retained for your lab.  Data is available on the same schedule as study measurements are taken to provide real-time data.
