Dr. Gilbert’s paper is the first to examine important differences in gait speed among adults with knee OA, to help interpret if change in gait speed in adults is significant.
The findings from the study can be used as reference points to design future studies, and will help physicians better understand which physical activity interventions are more likely to result in improvements for patients with osteoarthritis.
