Dr. Schwartz is a TARC faculty member and Co-Director of the NIAMS-funded Core Center for Clinical Research (CCCR) Methodology Core.

He has served as a faculty member in the Department of Biostatistics for over two decades, and he also has joint or adjunct faculty appointments with the UNC School of Nursing, the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, and UNC Exercise and Sport Science.

Dr. Schwartz has long been recognized for his passion for education, both as an instructor and mentor, and he has been Director of the Biostatistics Master’s Degree Programs since 2021.

He has received numerous awards during his career, including the prestigious Bernard G. Greenberg Alumni Endowment Award in 2020, in recognition for excellence in teaching, research and service.
