Carla Ribeiro, Ph.D.
Project I Co-Investigator
Carla M. P. Ribeiro, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, a joint Associate Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology and an investigator in the UNC Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center. Her research focuses on studies of airway inflammatory responses relevant to CF, COPD and asthma. For the UNC Center for Tobacco Regulatory Science and Lung Health, Dr. Ribeiro serves as a Co-Investigator for Project I, which explores the effect of tobacco products on lung hydration, inflammation-induced Unfolded Protein Response and changes in nucleotide metabolism.
