Wanda O’Neal, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the Molecular Biology Core Laboratory and an investigator for the UNC CF/Pulmonary Research & Treatment Center. For the UNC Center for Tobacco Regulatory Science and Lung Health, she is a co-investigator in Project III. The Scnn1b transgenic mice that overexpress the beta subunit of ENaC was generated in collaboration with her laboratory and she has extensive experience phenotyping them. Her roles are to provide oversight of the breeding colony and to collaborate in studies profiling RNA and examining miR-mRNA networks in lung cells and airway exosomes.
