1) Federally funded research studies are partially supported through a NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant (#1S10RR017212) and are therefore charged for machine time at a reduced rate.
2) The machine time charge is for the use of the 3T MRI scanner and is assessed for the total time that the 3T MR scan room is used for your study in 15 minute increments.

A single copy of study images on a CD, with or without viewing software, can be provided to the investigator without additional charge. Any additional data management, including clinical trial paperwork and data transmission, will be billed in one hour increments.

9.4T MRI
|
- $118/hour for federally sponsored UNC projects
- $250/hour for industry sponsored projects.
- Overnight scans from 7pm to 8am on samples or fixed animal tissue: $295/each, flat rate
- Weekend scans on samples or fixed animal tissue: overnight rate plus additional 2-hours charge

1) Federally funded research studies are partially supported through a NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant (#1-S10-RR019924-01) and are therefore charged for machine time at a reduced rate.
2) For samples that need more than 13 hours overnight scan, the additional hours will be charged with regular rate of $118/hour.

1) There will be a charge for the radioisotope if not provided by the investigators, and the charge will be actual cost we purchase through the hospital.
2) For F18-FDG, the standard dose is currently $169 but may vary.

Micro-SPECT/CT
|
- $120/hour for UNC investigator
- $240/hour for external users
|
1) Imaging is performed on GE speCZT/CT-120 system.
2) The rate does not include any cost for radioisotopes. The users are responsible to provide the imaging agents.

Optical Imaging
|
- $35/hour for user-operated study ($70/hour for external user)
- $50/hour for SAI staff operated service. ($100/hour for external user)

1) Rates are for IVIS-100, IVIS-Lumina, IVIS-Kinetic, and VisEn-FMT-2500 systems.
2) Training required before usage

Specimen micro-CT
|
- $40/hour for sample scan,
- $20/hour for image analysis
|
The image analysis is done by the users using scanner computer and software.

|
Imaging is performed on a carbon-nanotube-based microCT. |

1) VEVO-770 is housed in BRIC Building.
2) VEVO-2100 system only available for users w/ mice housed in GM Vivarium. Not available for external users.
