Stephen G. Chaney, PhD “Steve has also an outstanding education leader for UNC. Steve began lecturing in 1975 and was the course director for Medical Biochemistry for a consecutive twenty years and then again from 2000-2004. Steve was also a course director for Molecules to Cells from 2005-2009.” “Dr. Chaney is not only a respected faculty researcher, but more importantly for this award, a dedicated contributor to, and leader of, medical education at UNC. Steve communicates conceptually difficult material at a pace conducive to learning . . . a tireless advocate for quality education of our students . . .
