Biorepository
The CEMALB biorepository is a QAIQC resource for the storage, disbursement, and curation of human biospecimens. Our facility supports CEMALB investigators, UNC collaborators, industry sponsors, and external investigators. We currently house over 750,000 biospecimens and have the capacity to meet future storage needs.
Our biorepository acts as a scientific resource for investigators regarding specimen collection, storage, and methods. We have over 15 years of operational experience. Managed using password-protected secure software LDMS.

Our biorepository is managed by LDMS, a password-protected software thar ensures accurate sample tracking with a full quart trail freezer (-20, -80), and liquid nitrogen with dedicated monitory and full generator backup.
In an effort to maintain the quality of the samples processed and stored, the CEMALB Biorepository maintains operational SOPS and QA/QC policies.
