Research Interests
The overarching goal of our research is to investigate how exposure to environmental toxicants causes airway epithelial cell injury and the development of fibrotic lung diseases such as IPF. We focus particularly on how exposure to air pollutants alters redox homeostasis and downstream signaling. We utilize translational cell culture models and primary human samples to investigate these public health questions.
