About 200 7'th graders engaged with over 30 UNC faculty and residents, UNC medical students, and local EMS clinicians during their visit.

Dr. Mehrotra has held key roles with ACEP, providing leadership and vision for many of its new and existing initiatives.

Dr. Brice is Chair of the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine, a widely published researcher, and a renowned clinician and thought leader in her field.

A key goal for the grants is to improve timely access to life-saving care for rural and underserved populations.
