Dr. Shenvi is widely recognized for her contributions in advancing medical education and Geriatric Emergency Medicine, and serving in key leadership roles in the field of Emergency Medicine, both at UNC and with numerous national and international professional associations.

Dr. Park is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine faculty member and works closely with the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine.

Both of these "Triple Tar Heels" are known for their passion and dedication to furthering high quality, comprehensive Emergency Medicine education, combined with an unwavering focus on providing outstanding patient care.

Dr. Mehrotra has held numerous leadership roles with ACEP, a few of which include being past president of its N.C. Chapter, and serving as a Board member for 2023-2024.

The publication provides insights into UNC's breadth and depth of expertise, and highlights specific procedures and unique considerations involved with transport of patients infected with high-consequence pathogens.

His ongoing efforts are identifying key learnings that can not only directly benefit patients in N.C., but throughout the U.S. as well.

The innovative program provides high school students interested in future medical careers with broad-based and varied educational insights into the real-world practice of medicine.

At the event, six Emergency Medicine faculty and residents were recognized for their outstanding contributions to education.

This award recognizes members of the UNC Hospitals' house staff for their exemplary service, professional performance and compassionate patient care.

The residents' enthusiastic participation reflects the Emergency Medicine department's passion for outreach and service to members of the local community.

The text, which is published as an issue of Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America, provides in-depth clinical reviews of geriatric medicine, offering a broad range of practical insights for clinical practice.

Dr. Matthew Harmody is an alumnus of the UNC Emergency Medicine residency class of 2000, the third emergency medicine class trained at UNC Hospitals. He and Andrew recently celebrated Match Day together as part of the festivities in UNC's Roper Hall.
