On January 12th, Hannah Bazick (Zylka Lab) successfully defended and passed her oral qualifying exam! The title of her research proposal is, “Characterizing single-target AAV-Cas9 editing outcomes to improve Ube3a-ATS knockdown in neurons”. Congratulations Hannah!!

On November 18th, Keeley Spiess (Deshmukh Lab) successfully defended and passed her oral qualifying exam! The title of her research proposal is, “Examining the role of miR-29 in brain maturation”.  Congratulations Keeley!!

On October 27th, Arianna Cascone (Jessica Cohen Lab) successfully defended and passed her oral qualifying exam! On August 24th, Jesse Niehaus successfully defended his PhD Thesis: “Single-cell RNA-sequencing reveals novel spinal cord contributions to neuropathic pain”.  Mentor:  Dr. Mark Zylka.  Jesse will postdoc at UNC with Dr. Greg Scherrer.  Congratulations Jesse!
