This service handles general eye exams and common conditions such as chalazions and cataract surgery. The service also provides screening examinations for patients with systemic illnesses. Any patients diagnosed with equivocal or serious eye conditions are readily referred to the appropriate subspecialty area.

Our Comprehensive Ophthalmology service is staffed by our resident M.D.s, with close supervision by the attending staff including Kathleen Gordon, M.D. Our resident M.D.s, some of the country's finest young physicians, are accepted to work here through a selective process and spend three years in our department.
