As President and Chief Operating Officer for UNC Health, Jeff is responsible for partnering with UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine leaders to achieve operational performance, strategic growth, and integration of the health system.
With three decades of industry leadership, Jeff has experience leading large scale, complex operations across urban and rural markets, establishing partnerships and connections among diverse stakeholder groups and creating collaborative environments that challenge status quo, deepen engagement, and align teams to deliver high impact results.
Leading with a focus on listening to what’s important to team members, creating a compelling vision and translating it into an inspiring, flexible, and measurable strategic direction, Jeff believes that “the role of leadership is to create an environment where our teams have the resources and support they need to do what they do best: deliver the outcomes that matter to the patients we’re privileged to serve.”
A native of Alabama, Jeff has an M.H.A. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and obtained his B.S. from Auburn University.
