Pronouns: He/Him/His
Hometown: Peachtree City, GA
Undergraduate Degree: 2018 – Boston University
MD: 2024 – Medical College of Wisconsin
Hobbies: Exercising (soccer, weightlifting, running), reading classic novels, traveling, tattoos/tattooing, cooking, helping other students realize otolaryngology is the best field (no bias)
Why Otolaryngology?
I always knew that I wanted to do something surgical, but it wasn’t until I rotated through Otolaryngology that it became obvious that this was the field I was meant to pursue. Head and neck anatomy always interested me, and the diversity of procedures that we do never cease to be exciting. It was one of the few instances in medical school where I wanted to stay on service late every day. There is truly no specialty like it.
Why UNC?
Picking UNC to continue my training was a no-brainer. The faculty, residents, and staff are eager to teach and go above and beyond for their patients. There’s also a real sense of camaraderie within the Department; in fact, I immediately felt part of a family rather than a visiting medical student. Being close to where I grew up while receiving the best training that I could ever ask for is truly a dream come true.
Fun Fact:
In addition to playing collegiate/professional soccer, I was once cut off from All-You-Can-Eat-Sushi for eating too much and “stressing out kitchen staff”.
