The UNC Facial Plastic Surgery Team is comprised of physicians, nurses, a surgery scheduler and a patient care coordinator. This affords us the opportunity to manage your problem with a custom-made plan designed for your particular condition, be it common or complex. Our surgeons offer a combined experience of over 50 years taking care of patients and performing surgeries. Both are double board certified, including the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. They routinely present lectures at national meetings and together offer a one year fellowship for advanced training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

The Department established a one-year fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2015, under the directorship of Dr. Madison Clark and Dr. William Shockley. The fellowship provides in-depth training in the surgical and non-surgical management of aesthetic and reconstructive treatments of the soft and hard tissues comprising the neck, face, and cranial areas.
The fellowship is designed to train the future leaders in academic FPRS, and all of our graduates have secured academic positions following their training at UNC.
