Why Otolaryngology?
I am going into otolaryngology because I am interested in helping patients with conditions that affect their ability to interact with the world. From their ability to speak, hear, and even their ability to sense their body position. The conditions we can treat have huge impacts on people’s quality of life and I feel grateful to be able to help these people overcome those conditions.
Why UNC?
As a medical student I wanted the right mix of rigorous surgical training and a supportive community, and that is what I found here at UNC. It does not hurt that I will forever be a Tar Heel fan!
Fun Fact: I rushed Franklin Street in 2017 when the Tar Heels won the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship.
