Why Otolaryngology?
Our senses, the way in which we interact with the world, are what make life worth living. Like the smell or taste of a special family recipe, the sound of a loved one’s voice or a song that holds a special place in your heart – otolaryngology appeals to me so much because it is the perfect intersection of medicine and surgery that directly impacts these functions and restores patients’ quality of life.
Why UNC?
Amazing location, unparalleled research opportunities, but most importantly, world class mentors and peers who treat each other like family.
Fun Fact: Completed a general surgery preliminary year without any caffeine!
