Amyloidosis
The UNC Amyloidosis program is a multidisciplinary clinic comprised of a team that includes malignant hematologists, cardiologists, neurologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and nephrologists. Amyloidosis is a complex multisystem disease that often incurs heavy symptom burden. Organ dysfunction and symptoms may persist months to years after hematologic response. Optimal supportive care requires the collaboration of multiple specialists who must carefully orchestrate supportive measures until organ function improves.

Kidney complications of amyloidosis and paraproteins, including, but not limited to:
- Nephrotic syndrome
- Light chain deposition disease
- Myeloma cast nephropathy
- Membranoproliferative GN
- Monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance
- Hyponatremia
- Fluid overload
- Acute and chronic kidney disease
- Autonomic neuropathy with hypotension
