Biography

I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2010 with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mathematics and Biology. I worked with Dr. Donita Robinson and Dr. Garret Stuber prior to joining the Neurobiology Curriculum. Outside the lab, I am always looking for new things to try such as cooking recipes, home projects and electronics. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two dogs, of course.

Research

I am interested in studying how neurons encode information and communicate among each other, specifically during motivated behaviors. Using techniques from imaging to computation, I hope to further advance our understanding of neuronal population dynamics in normal and aberrant states.
