Biography

I graduated from Oakwood University in 2012 where I received my B.S. in Chemistry and minor in Mathematics. While there, I worked in the lab of Dr. Alexander Volkov and investigated the electrophysiology of plants, specifically action potentials in the Venus Fly trap.

Research

I joined the Early Brain Development Studies group, under the direction of Dr. John Gilmore, in the spring of 2015. I use structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging to investigate brain growth during the early stages of neurodevelopment of children who are at risk for mental illness.
