Ellen Stevens of the Der Lab successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis June 3, 2010. The title of her thesis was “Identification of Novel Therapeutic Approaches and Targets for the Treatment of Ovarian Carcinoma.”
The reception was held in the Lineberger Cancer Center with music provided by Ellen’s band.
Making her toast at the reception, Ellen remarked that after six years, she still loved science! Way to go, Ellen! Congratulations!
Ellen will start post-doc at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY in Neal Rosen’s lab the 1st week in September. We wish you the best of luck with your new position, Ellen!
