Ernesto Perez-Chanona, a member of the Jobin lab, successfully defended his dissertation September 18, 2014 and will officially receive his Ph.D. December 14, 2014 when he graduates. The title of his dissertation is “Microbial signaling in intestinal ischemia/reperfusion injury response.”

Ernesto moved to the University of Florida, Gainsville, a little over a year ago along with the rest of the Jobin lab when his mentor, Dr. Christian Jobin, joined their faculty as a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.

We’re proud of Ernesto for completing his PhD from a distance and offer our heartfelt congratulations.

We wish you all the best, Ernesto!
