Dr. Rebecca Sinnott and her fiance, ReJean DeVaux

Rebecca Sinnott, a member in Angelique Whitehurst’s lab, successfully defended her thesis December 4, 2013 and received her Ph.D. The title of her thesis is “Mechanisms that promote liberation of mitotic stress-induced death.” Congratulations, Rebecca!

As the Whitehurst lab has relocated to UT Southwestern, both Rebecca and Angelique traveled from Dallas to attend her Ph.D. defense. Rebecca’s fiance, ReJean DeVaux, also flew in from New York to attend her defense and celebration. Rebecca will be looking in the Albany, New York area for a future position.
