Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence-based practice (EBP) supported by four decades of research.

While most research predates formal program fidelity measures, those metrics were later developed to assess how closely programs adhere to the core ACT model. Additional research relevant to ACT covers topic-specific areas such as integrated co-occurring substance use disorder treatment and wellness management and recovery.
