UNC is the second Emergency Department site in the U.S. to participate in the study, thanks to a National Institute on Aging (NIA) grant.

In this role she will continue expanding UNC AOE's innovative programs to educators across the state.

UNC investigators and their colleagues provided new research findings and insights at the #NAEMSP 2024 conference recently held in Austin, TX.

She was recently presented with the Nancy Caroline Award during the National Association of EMS Physicians annual meeting in Austin, TX.

Lindsay received the recognition at the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine's (SAEM) meeting for her research: "Prevalence of Drug-Drug Interactions that Elevate Bleeding Risk in Older Adults Presenting with Falls."

The award includes a wide range of valuable support, including advanced training, coaching, and technical assistance with specialized software.

Their research focuses on prevention policies, strategies and means of assessing relative risk.

Dr. Migliaccio is also UNC's Director of Emergency Ultrasound, and Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Program.

The award recognizes her longstanding involvement with an Advisory Board and work on the reporting system (NC-VDRS).
