Hobbies: Basketball, soccer, cooking (esp. Moroccan and Venezuelan food), traveling, and walking with my dog and 1-year old son.
Why Otolaryngology?
Otolaryngology not only has a unique balance of medical and surgical management for complex conditions but also allows for tangible quality-of-life improvements in how we interact with the world (e.g., communication) and how we enjoy the world (e.g., nutrition/swallowing).
Why UNC?
UNC provides us an opportunity to work in every field of Otolaryngology under some of best educators and researchers in the world in a rapidly growing area that is perfect for someone like me starting to build our family.
Fun Fact: I have been stung by a scorpion 3 times during a medical trip to Honduras in college.
