Why Otolaryngology?
This specialty has the best combination of medicine and surgery. You get to specialize in a complex surgical specialty, but also have the amazing opportunity to build longterm relationships with patients.
Why UNC?
UNC Otolaryngology is a family. The relationships within this department made me feel like home. From day 1 of my AI as a visiting medical student, I could tell that the residents and faculty truly cared for each other.
