New Student Orientation
The Department of Health Sciences is excited to welcome new students from each of our divisions and programs to campus for its annual New Student Orientation. We look forward to seeing you and kicking off the new school year!
Orientation Details
Date: August 15, 2024
Time: 9:30AM-10:35AM.
Location: Genome Sciences, G200 (250 Bell Tower Dr, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 27514)
The orientation will begin in the Genome Sciences Building where there will be a one-hour long presentation. From there the rest of the day will be a flexible schedule for students. You may work with your division to determine if you will be taking formal headshots, or you can complete the scavenger hunt around Bondurant Hall to receive UNC Health Sciences prizes.

Each Division will have their own schedule, but throughout the day if your division schedule allows you may have the opportunity to get your headshot done in Bondurant Hall, G100 or complete a scavenger hunt that you will receive at the end of the orientation presentation. Please see below for the photographer schedule to determine if your division will be scheduled for headshots. The Scavenger Hunt is an optional activity that is available until 4PM on August 15, 2024 to turn in. If you need to turn it in after the deadline, please email the Student Services Manager, kimberly_capri@med.unc.edu to make arrangements.
A photographer will be in Bondurant Hall, G100 until 5PM on August 15th, 2024.
