What Concerns Do You Treat?
Our team can treat a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, behavior or mood changes, attention and concentration challenges, sleep problems, school avoidance, and academic decline.
Is this a crisis service?
No. If there is an immediate safety concern, call 911 or your local mobile crisis service.
How long does treatment last?
Most students receive care for 2–6 months before transitioning to community providers if needed.
Can I join my child’s session?

What ages do you serve?
Children and adolescents ages 4 through the end of high school.
Can my child continue to receive care over the summer?
Our care team works over the summer months and is happy to continue to care for your child. In some cases, the care can continue from your home . We always strive to identify sites through school or community partners that can be available for those who are not able to complete their visits from home over the summer.
What insurance do you accept? What will it cost?
Insurances are billed and copays/deductibles apply. IMPACTT-NC accepts most Medicaid plans and is in network with most major insurance types. Caregivers are encouraged to check insurance benefits before a visit as coverage may vary. If families are concerned about affording the program, please contact IMPACTT-NC for more information about options available for those without insurance or other financial barriers. IMPACTT-NC has options that may be able to assist, including UNC Health’s Financial Assistance Program that may help offset costs for those who are eligible.
