Jeffrey Scott Brody Visiting Lecturer

Jeffrey Scott BrodyMr. Jeffrey Scott Brody grew up in Baltimore, MD, and was a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina in 1984. He obtained a JD from Concord Law School and an MA in Organizational Development from the University of Maryland. His lifelong career in and passion for Human Resources included time at Northrup Grumman, Alliant Technologies, and ManTech. Due to his business acumen, he was a visiting Executive Leader and frequent lecturer at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business. In 2019, Jeff was appointed Chair of WashingtonExec’s Human Resources Council.  Within the business realm, Jeff was a respected, ethical, and generous colleague with unquestionable integrity.  He was quick to provide guidance to junior business partners and he was always available for assistance. He was passionate about his business endeavors and proud of the outcomes that were obtained through teamwork, innovation, and a tireless work ethic.

Ultimately, his career led him to CGI and Montreal, Canada where he met his wife, Lyse. Their adventures together fulfilled lifelong dreams and were highlighted by many travels and the company of family and friends. Jeff was a dedicated father who was proud of his sons, Jake and Jordan. Throughout his life, he was a lover of Napa Valley cabs, the Grateful Dead, the art museums of Europe, the mountains of Utah, and Tar Heel sports. Those who knew Jeff describe him as a dedicated person who worked hard, played hard, loved his family, lived each day to the fullest, and enjoyed regaling others with stories, humor, and practical jokes. This Lecture honors Jeffrey Scott Brody and his love and commitment to UNC.
