Robot-Assisted Partial Nephrectomy

Robotic partial nephrectomy provides many benefits that both surgeon and patient can appreciate. The da Vinci® robot allows surgeons to operate in a laparoscopic environment by using only five small incisions. Through these incisions, the surgeon is able to visualize the surgical field in 3-dimensional view. With this enhanced visualization the surgeon is able to precisely remove part of the kidney and tumor without damaging surrounding organs and tissues. In addition, ultrasound and firefly™ techniques can be used to pinpoint the tumor location. It also offers considerable benefits to patients compared to open surgery. Robotic Pyeloplasty
