- Peter G. Chikes
The Department of OHNS wants to welcome Peter G. Chikes, MD, FACS as the latest addition to our faculty!
"Peter Chikes is a tremendously talented physician and surgeon who brings significant expertise to our department in the diagnosis and management in individuals with ENT head and neck disorders. He will be a vital part in preparing residents and students for the next phases of their careers as they develop." - Dr. Harold C. Pillsbury
Dr. Chikes graduated from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He served in the Army and received the Army Commendation Medal for his service. He opened a practice in ENT in Concord, NC thirty-three years ago.
Dr. Chikes is a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and The American College of Surgeons. He will continue to see patients of otolaryngic allergy and provide educational insights.
On April 2, 2012, Dr. Chikes joined the UNC Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery as an Assistant Professor. He will continue to see and treat patients at UNC and provide students and residents insights on the private practice of medicine.
