Marsha "Lynn" Ray receives "Staff of the Year Award".

The Staff Recognition Program was established in 2013 to annually recognize a staff member for their outstanding achievement and service in the department. Nominations are made with the following criteria in mind: teamwork, creativity and innovation, positive attitude, enthusiasm, productivity, flexibility and leadership. Congratulations to Lynn Ray as the inaugural honoree!

Lynn Ray has been with the University for approximately 38 years within various departments on campus.  Lynn came to the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics in January 2006 as the Business Manager for the Department.  She has oversight for all Human Resource, Pre and Post Award Contract and Grant Accounting, Graduate and Post-Doctoral Training and Education; and Development and Public Relations, and Facility and Equipment Maintenance.  Customer Service is one of the most important activities of an administrative office and Lynn leads the way in giving excellent aid to all members of the department.  She encourages her staff to do the same and takes great pride in their accomplishments.  She believes that her staff’s accomplishments are through their dedication and teamwork to the department and this award is meant to recognize those accomplishments by all administrative, technical and research staff.
