Available clinical trials in the UNC Department of Pediatrics vary by division, specialty or center. Additional information about clinical trials and their availability may be found by visiting Research for Me, which is administered by the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NCTraCS), or ClinicalTrials.gov. For divisions with active or ongoing clinical trials, experienced research teams include both clinicians and coordinators who specialize in care and management of pediatric populations impacted by common or rare diseases.

It is important to note that while some clinical trials are open and enrolling, others are closed or maintain waitlists for prospective participants. Also, some clinical trials are administered by faculty from the Department of Pediatrics, but only recruit adults.
