Research Training and Resources
As part of UNC, the CRI is fortunate to have access to the many wonderful tools across campus that help researchers succeed in their careers as scientists. A few of the most commonly used are listed below, but we are also available to help you navigate the many resources at UNC.
High-quality research requires high-quality study design, biostatistics and data management. Some on-campus options for accessing biostatistical advice and support are available to browse at the link above. In some case, these may be associated with costs.
The UNC Health System and the UNC School of Medicine are committed to valuing all people throughout our organization, regardless of background, lifestyle, and culture. This page contains information about diversity and inclusion programs, initiatives and resources at UNC.
One of our primary goals at the CRI is to serve as a gateway for junior faculty, to provide guidance and to leverage resources into results.
Pay It Forward, Move it Forward, or PIF-MIF, is an initiative to “move forward” the research endeavors of UNC Department of Pediatrics faculty and fellows by connecting them with successful scientists at UNC and in the Research Triangle who are willing to “pay it forward” by providing advice and constructive criticism.
Regardless of your career stage, writing a scientific proposal can be difficult. The Children’s Research Institute is available to provide guidance to all researchers writing proposals related to pediatric health.
