For certain conditions, patients may be offered a consult visit-type. These consult visits are intended for conditions and evaluations that do not typically require long term follow up.   You may be asked to have testing done prior to or during the visit in order to ensure a complete and thorough evaluation for your condition.  Most consult visits will be a one-time visit with our providers, however depending on the results of the evaluation, ongoing follow-up may be necessary.

Interventional Cardiology

Our interventional cardiology providers are highly skilled in catheter-based cardiovascular procedures. They see patients who may require advanced cardiovascular procedures including percutaneous coronary intervention (stent placement), catheter-based interventions for pulmonary embolism, implantation of monitoring devices, treatment for peripheral arterial disease among others:

  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention/Stent Placement
  • CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion)
  • Complex PCI

Advanced Heart Failure

Our advanced heart failure team manages patients with severe or advanced congestive heart failure. We frequently evaluate patients with severe congestive heart failure for a number of advanced therapies including heart transplant, left ventricular assist device, or home IV inotrope infusion.

Providers should consider a referral to our advanced heart failure team for patients with severely reduced ejection fraction, multiple hospital admissions over the past 6-12 months, refractory volume overload, difficulty or failure to tolerate traditional medical therapy for congestive heart failure.

  • Management of advanced CHF and other cardiomyopathies
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Amyloidosis
  • Evaluation for and management of Heart Transplant
  • Evaluation for and management of Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)

Multidisciplinary Structural/Valve Clinic

Our multidisciplinary structural heart team consists of interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and advanced imaging specialists who work together to evaluate and manage patients with severe valvular heart disease. We often see patients who experienced complications from prior valve procedures.

In addition to traditional surgical options, we also offer many minimally invasive (transcatheter) options including TAVR, MitraClip, and many others.

Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Our adult congenital heart team see patients with inherited heart conditions that often require lifelong management. We see a wide array of genetic heart conditions and provide individualized care depending on each patient’s specific condition as well as prior treatment history.

  • Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Due to a large influx of referrals and desire to be able to provide services to as many patients as possible, our dysautonomia clinic primarily operates as a consult-only clinic. You may be asked to have testing done prior to, during, or after the visit to ensure a complete and thorough evaluation for your condition. Most consult visits will be a one-time visit with our providers, however depending on the results of the evaluation, ongoing follow-up may be necessary.
