We provide expert consultations and ongoing care for patients with a full spectrum of acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, from the simple to the complex. Over 17,000 visits are made annually, with 100 – 150 new patient visits each month. Among those treated in our clinic, 95% are very satisfied and 96% would recommend us to a friend. Our Services

We provide both one-time office consultations and ongoing care for patients with a full spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions. Care is provided at three locations: the UNC Hospital Gastroenterology ClinicUNC GI at Hillsborough, and UNC Hospitals Endoscopy Center at Meadowmont.

How to Schedule an Appointment

All new patients must be referred by another physician. Your referring physician should simply fax a completed procedure request form (available here) to 984-974-3414. Upon receipt, a UNC gastroenterologist will review the request and our scheduling office will call you to schedule the appointment. If you have any questions or need to reschedule your appointment please call 984-974-5050.

How to Contact Us

For the UNC Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic or Procedures, call 984-974-5050; Fax: 984-974-3414.

If you have already been seen by a UNC GI physician and have an urgent clinical question, call 984-974-1000 and ask to page the GI ambulatory fellow (pager # 123-7044) (8AM – 5PM) or the GI fellow on call (pager #123-7010) (after hours).  We are sorry we cannot answer medical questions from patients who have not yet been seen in our practice.
