Neuromyelitis Optica Patient Day

NMO Patient Day

The UNC Department of Neurology is excited to host the first Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) Patient Day in the state of North Carolina. This full-day event will be held at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

ConferencePeople living with NMO, their families and caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about this potentially devastating disease from NMO experts from around the region during presentations and breakout sessions. This meeting will not only be an educational event, but is organized to build connections between people living with NMO in North Carolina, as well as connections between people affected by NMO and healthcare professionals, aiming to improve access to healthcare.

NMO Patient Day is free of charge. The facility is handicap accessible and parking is free. Continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Schedule: Registration will open at 7:30am. The program will start at 8:30am and end around 5pm. A detailed agenda is provided below.
